Our specialty is one on one manual therapy techniques which have proven highly effective for a variety of problems affecting joints, muscles, ligaments and nerves. Pain Relief and Physical Therapy's therapists employ the unique science and art of accurate assessment leading to skilled treatment with constant reassessment of the goals and needs of the patient. Our goal is to respond to each patient's situation individually and in a manner consistent with our advanced training.


Bryan O'Halloran, PT, SCS, OCS, COMT, Director

Bryan O’Halloran, PT, SCS, OCS is the owner and director of Pain Relief & Physical Therapy. He graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia and is a Fellow of the American Back Society. He lectures nationally to physical therapists, physicians and athletic trainers regarding our specialized rehabilitation techniques and is a Founding Fellow of the American Maitland Instructors Association. He is one of 34 physical therapists in the country who have a dual certification in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Bryan has worked with Australian National Teams at World Championships and has experience working with a great variety of orthopedic problems including his current area of research involving the shoulder.  Bryan is currently treating patients in our new office in Havertown.

Amy Cole Lukasiewicz, PT, MSPT

Amy Lukasiewicz, MSPT graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.  She graduated from Hahnemann University in 1996 with a Master of Science in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.  She has published her Masters Thesis in the Journal of Sports Physical Therapy, “Scapular Kinematics in Shoulders with and without Impingement”.  She has previous experience at Lankenau Hospital, Bryn Mawr Sports Medicine, Bryn Mawr Terrace, and Main Line Home Care.  She is active in the academic setting as adjunct faculty at Arcadia University in the physical therapy program.  She was a national qualifier for springboard diving when in college.  She continues to be active in running, tennis, yoga, and fitness.  She is presently seeing patients at our Havertown location.  She is also treating the retired residents and staff at St. Joseph’s University, Manresa Hall.

Keith Wobeser, PT, OCS

Keith Wobeser PT, OCS, Certified in Active Release Therapy (ART) , graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada in 1993 with Bachelors degrees in Biology and Physical Therapy.  He worked in private orthopaedic and sports clinics in Canada before moving to the United States. Keith has previously competed at the International level in Rowing and Speedskating and is currently competing in Ironman Triathlons.  He has treated many different orthopaedic disorders for several elite athletes from various sports (recently as part of the medical staff for the First Union National Cycling Championships).  In 2004, Keith became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Keith is currently managing and treating in our Havertown office.

Kristen M Klingen, PT, MPT, Cert MDT

Kristen graduated from Hahnemann University with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.  In 2002, Kristen became a certified Mckenzie Therapist in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Mechanical Spine Pain.  She has also completed advanced graduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University in musculoskeletal therapy where she also lectured on neurodynamics, therapeutic modalities and shoulder assessment and treatment. Kristen worked previously in inpatient and out patient rehabilitation for Delaware County Memorial Hospital and Chesnut Hill Rehabilitation Hospital and in private practice in Williamsburg, VA where she treated athletes from William and Mary College.  She played collegiate lacrosse and currently enjoys running and biking. Kristen is currently seeing patients in our Havertown office.

Nancy Fritch, PT, MPT

Nancy graduated from the University of the Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Masters in Physical Therapy in 1999.  She is currently working towards her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Temple University.  She previously worked in a variety of settings at Pennsylvania Hospital including a rehab unit and skilled nursing facility.  She also has experience in home care.  Nancy is currently treating patients in our Havertown office.

Mary Ellen Dougherty, PT, ATC

Mary Ellen Dougherty, PT, ATC graduated in 2002 with a B.S in Sports Medicine and a concentration in Athletic Training from Mercyhurst College. Mary Ellen continued her education at Neumann College where she earned her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2006. Mary Ellen currently works at the Media Pain Relief and Physical Therapy office in the morning and then works as an athletic trainer at Notre Dame Academy in the afternoon.

Patrick D. O'Connor MPT, CCS, MBA

Patrick D. O'Connor MPT, CCS, MBA. Graduated from Hahnemann University with a Master's in Physical Therapy in 1998. Graduated from Temple University with a BA in Anthropology in 1995, and recently finished work for his MBA from Eastern University in 2003. Patrick is a McKenzie trained PT with several years of OP experience and he also became a cardiopulmonary clinical specialist in March 2004. He sees patient at our Media office in the evenings and works full-time as Therapy Director @ St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington DE. Patrick also has lectured at University of Delaware's PT program and is an active Clinical Instrutor for inpatient physical therapy.

Kevin P. Murphy, ATC, CSCS

Kevin P. Murphy, ATC, CSCS is Pain Relief and Physical Therapy’s Director of Athletic Training Services.  He is a certified athletic trainer (ATC) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS).  He is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, Pennsylvania Athletic Trainer’s Society, and National Strength and Conditioning Association.  He graduated from West Chester University in December of 2002 with a B.S. degree in Professional Studies, and concentration is Athletic Training.  He also has minors in Health and Athletic Coaching.  His latest athletic training experiences have been with Conestoga High School and he previously worked for Paoli Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center in Paoli, PA.  He started with Pain Relief and Physical Therapy in August 2004 and is currently Co-Head Athletic Trainers at Haverford Middle School and Haverford High School.  Kevin is also currently working with fitness and EDGE clients at the Havertown facility.

Colleen Quinn, ATC, CSCS, ACSM HFI

 Colleen Quinn, ATC, CSCS, ACSM HFI is a Certified Athletic Trainer.  She also holds certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), ACSM Health and Fitness Instructor (ACSM HFI) and AFAA Group Exercise Instructor.  She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers’ Society, National Strength and Conditioning Association and Aerobics and Fitness Association of America.  As a graduate of West Chester University in 2003, she holds a B.S. in Athletic Training.  Previous to joining Pain Relief and Physical Therapy in January 2005, Colleen worked as a certified athletic trainer with the Division III athletes at Swarthmore College.  In addition to her work in athletic training, she has worked in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer and client relations coordinator for Wellness Consulting Inc. out of the Philadelphia area.  She also works with our EDGE and personal training clients.  In the previous year she has begun master’s work towards a degree in Sport and Athletic Administration at West Chester University.  She has also become the co-owner and baker of Kohler’s Bakery in Avalon, NJ where she has worked since high school. Currently, she is working on a teaching certification in Health and Physical Education. Colleen is the Co-Head Athletic Trainer at Haverford High School and Middle School.

Takuya Kawamura, ATC, CSCS

Takuya graduated from Towson University with a B.S. in Athletic Training and Exercise Science in 2004.  He is a certified athletic trainer (ATC) and certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS).  He worked with Towson University athletics for two and half years and had clinical experiences at Loyola high school, Maryland and HealthSouth Spine Center of Baltimore.  He is currently working at Upper Darby high school as a Head Athletic Trainer.  He has been in United States since 1997.  He is a native of Nagano, Japan.  Takuya is working with fitness clients at the Media facility and EDGE clients at the Havertown facility.

Lauren Cull, Exercise Physiologist

Lauren Millison, is an Exercise Physiologist.  As a graduate of Cabrini College in May of 2005, she holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and Health Promotion.  Coming to Pain Relief and Physical Therapy in June 2005, Lauren will focus on working with fitness clients and personal training at our media facility to start then transfer to our Havertown facility.  In the future, Lauren plans to become a certified strength and conditioning coach and to further her education and acquire her doctorate in Physical Therapy.

MaryBeth Schray, ATC

MaryBeth Schray, ATC is a certified athletic trainer.  She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.  She graduated from West Chester University in 2006 with a bachelor of science in athletic training.  She started working at Pain Relief and Physical Therapy in the summer of 2006.  From 2006 to 2007 she worked as the assistant athletic trainer at Upper Merion High School and Middle School.  Beginning in the summer of 2007, she became the head athletic trainer at Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast High School.  Before coming to Pain Relief and Physical Therapy, MaryBeth completed clinical experience at West Chester University, Swarthmore College, and Great Valley High School.  MaryBeth is originally from Bethlehem, Pa.  She hopes to pursue a masters degree and certificate in Prosthetics.

Jackie Filipone, ATC

Jackie Filipone, ATC is a certified athletic trainer. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society. Jackie graduated from Lock Haven University in May 2006 with a B.S. degree in Health Science with a concentration in Athletic Training. She also has a minor in Psychology. In college, she worked with the 2006 NCAA Division II softball champions.  She started with Pain Relief & Physical Therapy in April 2007. Currently she is the Head Athletic Trainer at Upper Merion High School and Middle School.

Trisha A. Gerus, ATC

Trisha A. Gerus, ATC is a certified athletic trainer for Upper Merion High School and Middle School.  She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B. S. degree in Health, Physical Education and Sport, specialty track Athletic Training.  While attending IUP, she was a middle blocker for the varsity volleyball team.  Trisha joined the Pain Relief and Physical Therapy in February 2008, moving from Saltsburg, PA.  She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
